Barrel Select Merlot - 2002

While sampling our first vintage of Two Dog Merlot, which had spent its entire life developing complexity in new American and French Oak barrels, we discovered five French oak barrels of exceptional quality. After much thought, the decision to leave these barrels for an extra year of ageing was obvious. The resulting wine turned out to be capable of placing a smile on the face of even the most sophisticated of wine aficionados. With such a bold and beautiful profile it has certainly deserved the designation as our first “Barrel Select.” We hope you enjoy.
