As a child, Richard Graeser’s mother used to call him “Coeur de Leon” as a nickname for his rebellious and triumphant spirit, which she found similar to that of the one and only, King Richard who was otherwise known as “Richard the Lionheart”. This adored family name has stuck with him throughout the years and has become a fitting title for this unique and exquisite Bordeaux Style Blend exclusively available at Graeser Winery.

The 2006 Coeur de Leon is a testament about the Diamond Mountain District and the Bordeaux grapes that thrive here. This blend is always aromatic with vibrant berry, fleshy red fruit and toasty oak integration. Our house style shines in this balanced, detailed, and elegant offering, rather than delivering an over-blown red.
