Acclaim for Coeur De Leon, Estate

Ratings

Vintage 2002:
  • 91 - Beverage Testing Institute - July 1, 2005

Brilliant ruby red hue. Blackcurrant, peppercorn, vanilla and dried flower aromas. Medium-full with very good concentration, this is an elegantly styled offering with graceful tannins, beautifully ripe fruit and nicely integrated oak. Only a slightly short finish prevents this from scoring higher.

Vintage 2001:
  • 87 - Beverage Testing Institute - July 1, 2004

Brilliant ruby red hue. Black currant, black cherry, pepper and oak aromas. Medium-full, this has upfront fruit, subtle oak and moderate tannins along with a nicely defined finish. All in all, a pleasant and elegant blend.
